The Coalition to Protect Florida's Drivers is urging Governor Charlie Crist and the Florida Legislature to preserve mandatory auto insurance coverage for drivers in the upcoming special session.

Made up of  hospitals, emergency care providers, first responders, safety officials, the state's largest health insurer and a major auto insurer,  the Coalition is petitioning Governor Crist, Senate President Ken Pruitt, and House Speaker Marco Rubio to address the Florida's 37-year-old no-fault system in the special session that begins October 3. TALLAHASSEE, FL - Florida drivers won a major victory today when the Legislature voted to reinstate the state-s 36-year-old no-fault auto insurance law. The reformed law, which protects both people and property and fights fraud, passed both chambers with overwhelming support.
