Renew
no-fault: Demise
of PIP will create
health care crisis
Bradenton Herald editorial
“We know that private health care coverage is becoming more expensive
each year, with covered services dwindling and deductibles rising. That means
if hurt in a car crash you could pay far more out of your pocket for medical
treatment than the supposed savings gained from canceling PIP. You would be
expected to pay all those medical bills up front, while it could take months
to be reimbursed by your insurance company for treatment that is covered. Florida
needs to renew PIP. It is just as important, if not more than, property
insurance and property taxes.”

PIP offers auto accident victims healthcare services and timely
coverage
In a state where one in five Floridians has no healthcare insurance, PIP offers
auto crash victims access to crucial healthcare services and timely insurance
coverage for injuries up to $10,000.
Know the facts: Forty percent of patients treated in emergency rooms and trauma centers have no health insurance to pay for treatment other than PIP, and could face personal financial disaster if PIP is repealed.
Governor Crist, Senate President Pruitt, House Speaker Rubio, please protect all Floridians by including PIP in the September Special Session
